Clubs & Activities
Garden Club
This before-school club is open to students in grades 3-5. Garden Club meets weekly in October, and again in March through May. The club supports students in growing their own vegetable gardens to increase students' and families' access to healthy food, hands-on learning, and community building.
Kindness Club
Kindness Club is for fourth and fifth graders who want to promote kindness through our Ridgeview community. The club meets during school monthly, or more often as needed.
Math Wings
Math Wings is open to fourth and fifth graders who meet once a week from September through April. Practices are before school, and competitions are after school. Math Wings is a club for students who excel in mathematics, love problem solving, and can work together well. We practice problem solving on Tuesday mornings and compete against the other Olathe elementary schools at after-school competitions.
Morning Announcements
Fifth graders take turns doing daily morning announcements. The goal of this task is to promote public speaking, confidence, punctuality and responsibility.
Recycling Club
Recycling Club meets weekly throughout the school year during the school day. Our purpose is to teach students about environmental responsibility and conservation by engaging them in hands-on activities that promote reducing, reusing and recycling.
Running Club
Third through fifth graders are invited to meet before school for Running Club. We meet once a week in September and October. Running Club is designed to promote physical activity, improve overall fitness, encourage healthy habits, boost confidence and enhance academic performance by providing a fun, accessible way for children to exercise, set goals and build confidence through walking and running at their own pace.
Soccer Club
Our after-school Soccer Club teaches soccer fundamentals over the course of four to five sessions. Students develop soccer skills and a love for soccer.
STEM Club
Students meet once a month after school for STEM Club. They participate in science, technology, engineering and math activities with a focus on hands-on activities. The club uses hands-on, integrated learning to build foundational skills that are vital for success in the 21st century.
